MOOC: Open Educational Resources for Online Learning: A Practical Approach.
Date: March 14– April 8, 2022.
Number of Participants: registered – 1,800; active – 1024
Number of Countries represented: 61
MOOC Description and Objectives:
Recognising that Open Educational Resources (OERs) are a means of providing current and high-quality content in a variety of fields of study, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its potential contributions to educational recovery. Also recognising that OERs bridge the gaps created by an insufficient number of required professionals and encourage collaboration, which improves the quality of knowledge and skills taught or learned. Despite the availability of useful OERs, many people are unsure how to incorporate them into teaching and learning.
The MOOC teaches participants how to plan, write, and evaluate OERs for inclusion in online learning content. More specifically, the MOOC was created so that at the end of it, participants would be able to:
- Plan online learning content using OERs
- Write an online learning content integrating OERs
Evaluate OER for integration in online learning
