CALL FOR PAPERS
As global forecasts emphatically predict a digital future, technology-driven transformations are constantly redefining the educational landscape. The value of knowledge, mode of education and the significance of skills increasingly challenge the notion of literacies and the role of education. At the heart of the design, development and delivery of global learning experiences are digital innovations, solutions and transformations. In view of the incredible potentials of the digital future on a global scale, there is need for a strategic agenda to drive transdisciplinary, collaborative and creative digital based innovations in the higher education sector in Africa, particularly in Nigeria. The flexibility and creativity inherent in the Open Distance and e learning (ODeL) environment uniquely position it to pilot the emerging digital trend and harness the innovation portfolio for maximum results. With digital transformations unfolding in the global space, ODeL in Africa must evolve appropriate design, contextual development and implementation of digital strategies that will ensure the expansion of knowledge and the building of sustainable development in Africa.
In this regard, the Open Distance and e Learning Association of Nigeria (ODeLAN) invites researchers, ODeL practioners, academics, professionals, industries, among others to submit proposals, papers, panels, poster presentations, for its maiden conference on the theme: Global Spaces, Local Contexts: Digital Transformations and Creative Innovations in Open Distance And e Learning (ODeL) which will be held at Babcock University Centre For Open Distance and e Learning (BUCODeL) between May 2 – 4, 2023.
